NS Design Fin 6 guitar (2026)
This is the latest generation of carbon fiber composite guitars, designed by Ned, made by Sankuer Composite Technologies in Detroit, Michigan. Only 12 instruments will be made from this mold, before it gets retired. Future versions of this guitar will be made from wood, like the Radius guitars. The NS Design website writes about these instruments:
The SCT6 FIN Guitar is a Limited Edition model, fabricated entirely from carbon fiber composite, resulting in a structure that delivers extraordinary sonic properties characterized by long sustain, brilliant harmonics, well defined bass, and a rich, powerful midrange. Carbon fiber is unaffected by humidity and temperature variations, resulting in a durable instrument that will continue to perform at the highest level despite the rigors of the road and the passage of time.
It comes with a multiscale fret configuration, the brand new individual Fulcrumâ„¢ tuning machines, three passive EMG humbuckers (two of them splittable) under the single pickup cover, and the Activatorâ„¢ circuit providing active output switched on with a push-pull pot when desired. The active circuit is powered by a supercapacitor, no batteries needed.
The guitar shown below is #05 of 12, and the first one which found a new home in Europe. The color was ordered to match the steinieland website blue as close as possible, and looks gorgeous in real life :-)
